So, last time we were talking about how health is where we have to focus first. Health is one of the most precious things we have in this life. But long term lifelong change, the type of change that you’re really wanting deep down, is going to take a little bit of work, and it’s going to take a little bit of time. I know that nobody wants to hear that. But the work we have to do first is looking at the inside, and building our health from the inside out. We do that through consistent exercise that’s healthy for us and not tearing down our joints, not tearing down our muscles, but actually giving us what we need to feel better and build the internal systems to be stronger.
Number two is a healthy nutrition plan. We need to be eating real foods, we need to be eating whole foods. We need to eat less processed crap. All that does is go in and fill us, but it doesn’t fuel us. We need the fuel, so we’ve got to get the right nutrition in.
So where people say that I harp on water and on vegetables and on protein and on fats, it’s true because that’s what our body needs. We need protein, carbs, and fat in order to fuel our bodies. And we need to make sure that we have them consistently. So saying that you got them in one day, but you didn’t get them in another day, that’d be like saying you put gas in your car one day, but the next week when you needed gas, you just didn’t fill it up and you couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t go. We’ve got to give our bodies the fuel that they need.
The other part to this puzzle is not just exercise and nutrition, but it’s also recovery time. We live in a society that is highly built on stress. We are almost stressed out if we’re not stressed, right? If it’s calm and you have nothing to do and you don’t know what’s going on, that’s almost more stressful than when you’re stressed. So we’ve got to take time to recover, we’ve got to take time to relax. Whether that is getting to bed on time or making sure that we get a full night’s sleep, or making sure that we have some down time just for us during the day, it’s super important that we have that.
I hope that you can see through this that the weight gain is actually a symptom, it’s not the cause. The cause, the actual probably is within. And whenever we have those problems within, it causes our body to gain more weight, whether that, again, is from inflammation, from fluid retention, from fat gain. So as we start to work on those inner systems and as we start to bring our body into better harmony, you would be absolutely shocked to see how many people can get results just by changing some of those factors. Not even by taking out this from their diet and taking out that, but really just focusing on better healthy habits. It’s amazing the difference.

So we don’t take you and put you in a cookie cutter plan. We take you in and start with you where you’re coming from because we know that it’s not going to work if we flip the whole world upside down on you in one day. But we know that through small changes over time working on habits, being 1% better each day in the areas of nutrition, of exercise, of lifestyle habits that you’re going to start to see huge changes.
And those huge changes can be maintained for a lifetime because once you get to going with them, you’re going to realize how much better you feel with them than how you felt without them, and you’re not going to want to go back to that old way of life. Every now and then, your brain makes you think that you want to, and you try it out, and you realize, “It’s not really for me anymore. That’s just not who I am.”

I hope that this inspired you to really dig deep and find the cause to the symptom.
