Welcome back to the final part of our four part series. First off I wanted to thank you all for sticking with us through this series. I hope that you have been enjoying it so far because I’ve been enjoying writing it. There are so many misconceptions and flashy gimmicks out there, and for a lot of people it’s very hard to know who to listen to and what to do about health and weight loss. And one of the biggest things to consider is if you are wanting weight loss or health. Because you could lose twenty pounds and still be unhealthy.
So with the challenge, it’s going to give you a change in your body shape, a change in your body’s physiology, which is going to be either for good or for bad. A lot of times that physiology can change in a way that you throw off your hormones and it actually causes you to start gaining weight afterwards, and that can cause a problem, right? So that will create that change very quickly, but in life the change is in your health. And when you change your health, you’re going to start having that show through in your body shape.
So that’s kind of the cool thing, like you can lose weight right, and a lot of people can lose weight, they can restrict their calories and lose weight and start to get that “skinny-fat” look. They’re kind of sunken in, they don’t have the muscle tone, things are not looking well, and really the minute they stop whatever plan or challenge that they’re doing they start to gain weight back.
So that’s where that challenge really starts to show, that’s when that restriction starts to show through and cause those problems. However, in life whenever you start to eat healthy, when you start to exercise healthily, when you are doing what your body needs for you to do, then you are going to get a change in health for the better. You’re going to be enhancing your health over time, and every time that you get healthier on the inside, it’s going to start to show through on the outside.
So our bodies don’t carry excess fat when they are healthy on the inside, they are able to function at a higher level, they are able to metabolize at a higher level, the hormones are in structure. Everything starts to work together for that optimal place where your body is healthiest and happiest at.
So, start to think today: what kind of mindset are you in? Are you in that challenge mode where you are constantly feeling like you have to have a reward? Then create a reward, but make it healthy for you. So don’t bounce from one challenge to the next place that’s offering a reward, but rather create your own reward. Make it something that is more meaningful to you, make it something that is better for you.
I have a lot of people that you will create their own rewards. Maybe for every workout that they do, they’ll put a quarter in a jar, and then by the end of so many workouts they’ll use that for a new workout outfit, or for a vacation somewhere, or whatever it may be. A lot of other people build up to date night. They go out and just have a great time and enjoy their successes with their significant other.
So there is a lot of different ways that you can do this, but make sure that the focus is on you and that the focus is on that total vision of where you want your life to end up.
On that note, I’m going to bring this four part series to a close. I want to thank everyone that read this series for sticking around and letting me talk about something that I’m passionate about. And that work doesn’t have to be miserable and confusing, it can be exciting! Think about what you are doing and where it is going to lead you. Keep that ultimate vision in mind and let that lead you towards a better future.That future is what you want to make of it. You can work now to ensure a healthy life for the long run, or you can choose to keep going from one fad to the next.
