Now be sure to read part one if you haven’t already at the link here: And as always, if you have any questions about today’s blog then please give us a call at (806)-322-3188

Last time we were talking about the concept of the ultimate vision. Now for Custom Fitness, our vision is to empower people to live healthier and more fit lives through holistic coaching or their exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle habits. That’s really all it is. We want to help as many people as possible to live these healthier and more fit lives, because we know that the more people that we can help through that, the more that they are going to allow that newfound knowledge to spread out to other people.

So, if we can affect those people in that way, then that is our ultimate vision. For us the little pieces, the little goals along the way, would be to help people through their fat loss struggles, internal distress struggles, muscle tone struggles, and whatever else we can help with. Using those little building blocks will help to get to that ultimate vision of helping people live a healthier life.

So, if money, time, people, equipment, etc, didn’t stand in your way, where would you want to end up? What is your vision for your life? Now there are separate visions for the different parts of your life (family, work, etc.), but they can all come together into one ultimate vision. If you can dig that far into through and get there, then that it wonderful, but a lot of people need to break it all down. By breaking those down people can see that all these visions are taking them in a certain direction.

Like, maybe the vision for your business and your family is to go in one direction, and for your health your vision is going in a different direction. Ultimately they all meet up in the end, but breaking it down gives you a clearer picture of where you’re going. And these are really good things to just sit down with and write out. And the first time is going to be confusing, you may have only a few vague ideas that don’t really make sense, but that’s okay! Just keep working on it and find that vision that works for you. And it’s especially important to have that vision for you health so that you aren’t bouncing from one fad to the next.

So, breaking it all down: we have our total vision and write that down, then you break that down into your quarterly goals for the year. Let’s think of this in a year process. That doesn’t mean that you’ll get to your ultimate vision in those twelve months, for some it takes sorter and for some it takes longer. So, for the year sit down and write down your total vision, and break that into quarterly goals.

Each quarter you are going to have a specific set of goals that you are reaching for. Then you are going to break that down into monthly goals so that you know each time what you’re working towards. Then you are going to break that down into a weekly focus. That’s going to be something that I don’t really want to call a goal because I really want you paying attention to it, really having your mindset on it, and really focusing on what direction you’re going for that week.

Then we’re going to break that up even further into daily habits. In order to get to the week focus, what do we have to do every day as a habit, or to build a habit into, to be able to be focus on that week? If it’s weight loss, then our daily focus becomes walking and drinking all your water? It could be something as easy as that. You’ll know that everyday that you are getting your steps in that you are working a little bit closer to your goal. Building those healthy habits is going to move you forward in your week, then in your month, and then in that quarter.

Then as you get better and stronger, your habits can change and evolve to keep pushing you forward so that you will ultimately end up at that vision. Sounds easy enough right? But anything sounds easy when you just write it down, but living it is a whole other thing. So write it down and then check on it frequently.

I like to check on my vision, my goals, pretty much everything at least weekly. Check in and make sure that you’re on track and really focused on what you’re doing. It’s kind of like running a marathon; if you truly want to run that marathon then you have to be checking in weekly to make sure that your mileage right. So it’s the same thing here, if you really want to a point where you are reaching that total vision, then you really have to keep checking in on those goals.

Now, the last part of all of this is holding yourself accountable. That can be through a support partner, it could be through a team of coaches, there are multiple avenues that you can take with this, but at the very least hold yourself accountable. Make sure that you are checking in to make sure that you are succeeding.

That is going to wrap up our series on living your vision! I hope that you got something helpful out of this series and have the confidence to go forward and create that ultimate vision for yourself.
