Welcome back to our series on detoxing! Last time I was talking about detoxing and now I’m going to get a little more into my experience.
I’ve been allergic to dairy as a diagnosed entity for about three-and-a-half years now, and I really do not touch the stuff. I’ve ever since stopped having dairy, the sensitivity that I had became almost a super-sensitivity. So whenever I came across this food the other day, and didn’t even realize that I’d had it, certainly did not taste as good as cheesecake, or anything like that, which I would rather do if I’m going to make myself feel like this.
I ate something, and within a matter of an hour, I had a massive headache. It took me a while to put two and two together and realize what had happened. That headache lasted most of the night, and by the time that I was getting ready for bed, realized that really over the course of about three-and-a-half hours, I had gained five-and-a-half inches on my waist.
Weight wise, I hadn’t gained much weight. I always track these things, because I find them interesting, so I either do a Fit3D scan, or I’d use a tape measure and a scale. I happened to be at home that day, so I just did the scale and the tape measure. But I had gained five-and-a-half inches, and I hadn’t gained any weight, so that hopefully tells you a little bit about that.
For me, that kind of inflammation will last … I’ve still got that going on. So it can take two to three weeks for it to go away, because the body has to calm down. You’ve just really stressed it out, and you’ve got to calm it down. I really try to avoid those things, which is why I’m so picky whenever I go out to eat with friends, and things like that. It definitely wreaks havoc on your body.
If you’re experiencing symptoms like that, if you’re having gut issues, if you’re having, like I said, fatigue issues, energy issues, any of that kind of stuff. Just bloating. Any of those things. It might be worthwhile to try a detox.
The first one is the food-based detox, where we take out all of the allergenic foods. The second one … Well, I guess there’s really two parts to that. You can do the allergenic foods. You could also do one where you just really focus on the macronutrients that your body needs. The protein, the veggies, and the carbs. And really take out all of the other junk.
That’s just going to detox out the crud. Right? And get rid of the sugar cravings, and get rid of the carb cravings, and those kinds of things. It’s not going to go as deep as the allergenic one.
Then the other kind would be adding supplements, but you have to really watch out on the supplements. You’ve got to make sure that you have have a high-quality supplement. That you’re not just doing fiber shakes. But rather enhancing your health with those supplements, rather than just taking things away, right?
A detox is not there to just strip away, strip away, strip away. But rather to enhance your health, and to rebalance, to nourish your body. Like with us, you’ve probably heard me talking about the Eniva products lately that are coming to the studio. We’ve actually got our first order coming in last part of next week, probably.
A lot of our clients are doing a program with us to kick the new year off. This detox program. As they’re doing this, they’re going to be adding in the Eniva Detox Kit. It’s going to be a seven-day detox. Now, what are they going to be doing? Well, they’re going to be adding nutrition to the nutrition that they’re already having.
That may sound silly, but let’s think about it for a minute. If you are eating even the best quality of food, is that quality of food the same as it would have been 50 years ago? Probably not. You’re probably not getting the same level of nutrition, the same level of phytonutrients, or vitamins, or minerals. All of those things have changed because of our soil content, because of what we feed our livestock, because of how our world runs differently now.
You’re not getting as high of a level of nutrition. We also are around so many toxins during the day that we may not be absorbing nutrition the same way. Therefore, if we were to do a detox that was able to help us absorb things better, then we might not be as deficient in, say, vitamin D3. Or magnesium, or iron, or vitamin K.
There’s a ton of them that people are becoming deficient to, and part of it is the fact that they’re not eating well, but part of it is also the absorption issue. Our bodies just aren’t responding the right way, and it’s because we haven’t taken care of them for so long, that it’s time to step up and do a little bit of damage control, take care of ourselves, and be able to renew our own health.
Do supplements make a big difference? Well, if you have the right ones, they do. The Eniva supplements, I am so excited about. If you’re not on our e-mail list hearing about these, you need to be. You can get on our website, or just message me here, and I’ll be happy to add you on.
But they are amazing. They are medical-grade supplements. They’re sold at some of the best medical clinics in the world. They are able to stand up to the research being done on them, and show time and time again how they are healing and helping the body. Now, obviously, we can’t diagnose, treat any conditions. You know the spiel. But they are helping the body.
So I’m going to end part two here. I hope that you all got something good out of today’s blog, and I hope that you will come back for part 3!
