Lose fat fast with These Four Tips by Custom Fitness: Amarillo Personal Trainers

Before we get started, I want to remind you that we are about to open up or Down Size program again. This is something that has come around twice already. Our participants are experiencing real success. Everyone who has enrolled in Down Size has lost about 5 to 8 pounds within the first and second weeks. Today’s topic losing fat fast. We got four great tips for you today. These are things to consider whenever you’re wanting to actually lose fat, lose weight, and get your body to reset your metabolism. This will help you get ready to go for that next push that you’re going to be making.

 

#1 Remove any food allergens from your diet.

 

There’s about 7 different major food allergens things that are within our diets causing our tissues to become inflamed. Some examples of these culprits are things such as tree nuts, dairy, gluten, and soy. You want to be sure and eliminate eating these allergens for at least 3 to 4 weeks. As you do that, you will reset your metabolism and calm down your body. This will allow the tissues to reduce the inflammation and get rid of excess stores that your body was previously blocked by. Did you know, most people are carrying an average of 5 to 15 pounds of inflammation alone.  Remember that bikini you were hoping to fit into if you could only lose 15 pounds?  Eliminating these allergens could help you with that goal. If you think about a time you accidentally cut yourself, a  finger or your leg, you noticed some swelling around the area, right? That swelling is inflammation.  It is pulling water into the tissues in order to fast track the nutrients in your blood stream to help heal the tissues. That same inflammation happens inside of your gut, but the swelling stays around much longer than a slice on skin.  Take this time to reset your diet to take out those allergens. If you do you’ll notice a difference in the mirror, on the scale, and with the tape measure.

 

#2: Hydrate regularly

 

I know you’re probably sick of hearing me talk about this, but if there’s one thing that I believe in, it is hydration. Your goal is drink half of your body weight in ounces of water every day. That means that if you weigh 150 pounds you need 75 oz of water — actual water– every single day. That’s not tea; That’s not Gatorade; That’s not coffee; It’s definitely not sodas; it’s not juice. It has to be regular water. There is plenty of research about why you need this amount and if you want to talk in depth about that feel free to set up a consultation with me.  For today I’ll keep it short and sweet: we just want to make sure that we’re hydrating regularly.

 

Here’s a thought: if you drink half of your body weight in ounces of water everyday consistently over a 12-month period that will help you to lose an additional 5 lb just from drinking water. People tend to get worried because they take in so much water they believe they are going to bloat and their bodies will hold on it.  Actually, the tissues naturally bloat(inflame)  when you don’t drink enough water.  If you drink a sip here or there your body is going to go into panic mode. It will hold onto every molecule of water it can find in an effort to survive. When you consume the proper amount of water regularly, your body will void the stored water because it knows when its next thirst will be quenched. So drink your water to lose an extra 5lbs

 

#3. Eat Thermogenically

 

I would be happy to go into more depth on this topic during a consultation, but, again, I’m going for the short version today. We’re going to get a balanced portion of proteins, vegetables, and healthy fat on every single plate at every meal. When we do that, we are going to create a thermogenic effect. Meaning you are going to burn more calories, and allow time to digest that meal. This, in turn, allows the body to physically break that meal down and absorb the nutrients, rather than being so overwhelmed by an imbalance that it passes everything.  The calories that are released during the digestion would actually be exceeded by the amount of calories that your body is having to use to burn that food and to digest it. Thus a positive gain towards losing fat. Definitely try to balance out your plate with a variety of protein, vegetables, and healthy fats.

 

#4 Exercise regularly, but change it frequently

Too many people get in a rut by doing doing the same work out, or the same style of work out, with the same weights all the time. I have seen too many clients walk through my door looking for personal training in Amarillo after not getting the results they wanted at the big box gyms. They look at an 8 pound weight and say “that’s all I can lift” or they look at a 20 pounds weight and say ”that’s all I can lift!”. You have to push yourself; you have to challenge yourself. I’m not just talking about resistance, or time; I mean push yourself on all levels at the same time. In order to get these changes we have to create enough of a shock factor so that the body will be willing to change. We are building up that muscle by using things like resistance training in your workouts (hint, hint!).  The muscle mass is there to help you in many ways, especially by helping you raise your metabolism which is going to burn fat.
